Launch update and status. Petey’s Power Pack

Well, we are officially closing the doors to the “Petey’s Power Pack”. What an adventure!

First, I want to thank each and every one who helped out in anyway. You really don’t know how much we appreciate it.

Now onto the results… after 2 weeks of sales and donations the Petey Power Society has a grand total of almost $6,000. It’s not what we were hoping for, but it’s definitely not a failure. We have succeeded in many different ways!

Although this is a good chunk of money it is not enough to get a van. So we are searching out other options and avenues to accomplish this goal. As of right now the money will remain in its account until we’re ready to make a move.

Here are just a few options we are looking into:

  • I have an older van that we may be able to add a ramp to, but the clearance height is not enough.
  • Corporate sponsorship (if anyone has connections please let me know).
  • Celebrity PR gift (again if anyone has connections… let me know!)
  • Catastrophic Relief Fund (we most likely don’t qualify)

Of course, I will keep you posted as soon as we make any advancements. So if you haven’t already make sure you subscribe to this feed.

Thanks again!

  1. Dear Jason & Petey,

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t make your goal. I’m still praying for you guys. I have a few more suggestions.

Have you tried used accisible plans? I found some on ebay. If you can give me your zip code and any zip codes you would be willing to drive to to pick up the van I would be happy to search for you.

I know theres got to be some more organizations out there that might help. You mentioned Catastrophic Relief Fund, I would ask them if they know of any other organiztion or foundation.

The Lions Club helps those are blind but sometimes help others with other disablities. Plus they may know of other organization or foundation that can help.

I would sart a network list and keep track of who you call and ask each one if they know other organizations or foundations to each one you call. This could take a bit of time but you might get some help.

I am glad to help in anyway I can.

    Best Wishes,
    James Corder
