Phew! Today was a big day. We got a lot done. My wife, Heather, and I put together the pages and web forms for the site. Heather is responsible for getting the video opt-in and skin going.
Kathleen Donaghy is the one who donated the skins and her services. My wife and her spent some time on the phone getting everything ready.

This Saturday (March 1st, 2008) is a pool party at our local aquatic center. Of course I have no way of getting Petey there.
You see Petey loves to swim! It is an amazing feeling for him to be able to “walk” in the shallow end. The water supports his weight and makes it possible for him to “walk”.
I have stepped it up a notch. I am going harder at this than anything I have done before. It keeps me at night. It’s always on my mind.

Here are some diffferent resources that will help you to better understand this disease. Basically Muscular Dystrophy is a group of more than 30 genetic diseases that are characterized by progressive weakness and degeneration of the skeletal muscles that control movement.
There are 9 diseases that are ALWAYS classified as MD. One of them is Duchenne. That is what Petey has. I’ll go into more details on this in another post. For now check out the list below.

My name is Petey. I am an 8th grader at Ocean City Intermediate school. I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I love to watch football and basketball. My favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers.
